Yanick Normand

Yanick joined Desjardins in 2008 as a portfolio valuation expert, supporting the investment and due diligence teams on major transactions.

Prior to that, he acquired solid expertise in finance, particularly at Ernst & Young, where he handled external audit engagements with large public companies. During his time at NBF International, National Bank Financial’s representation office, he also gained skills in business development and negotiating in the world of institutional sales.

Qualifications

Yanick has an advanced graduate diploma in accounting from Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) and a bachelor’s degree in economics (economy and finance major) from UQAM. He is a member of Quebec’s order of certified professional accountants (Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec) and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (CBV).

The entrepreneur who is prepared to risk everything, who has a vision, who knows exactly where they’re going and stays the course in the face of setbacks, who gets back up after a fall and goes after what they want, who listens, who knows how to bring out the best in the people around them, who’s a born—not makeshift—leader. That’s who really inspires me and gets my full attention.
