Maysa Habelrih appointed to the Boad of Directors of FTE Drilling
Maysa Habelrih has over 20 years of experience in corporate governance across companies of all sizes, strategic planning, corporate social and environmental responsibility and compliance in the international mining and metals industry..
FTE Drilling was formed by the 2015 merger of F. Lapointe et Fils, founded in 1923, and Technic-Eau Drillings Inc., founded in 1988. Headquartered in Sherbrooke, FTE Drilling is a mining, well and geothermal drilling specialist. Home to some 100 employees in Canada, the company also has operations in West Africa (Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Mali and Senegal) and, as of two years ago, South America (Surinam).
Thierry Lachapelle appointed to the Boad of Directors of Groupe SJM
With nearly 20 years of experience in market analysis and distribution strategy, Thierry Lachapelle is currently Senior Vice-President of AGF Access Group Inc., where his responsibilities chiefly include sales and marketing. He also oversees operations at two international manufacturing companies..
Founded in 1978, SJM Group is a consortium of well-established Québec manufacturers specializing in such areas as the production of commercial equipment and heavy-duty storage systems (display shelving, industrial storage, etc.):
- Étalex inc. — Food industry and retail chain specialist
- Équipement Boni Inc. — Hardware store and drugstore specialist
- Produits de Fil et Métal Forma Fil inc. — manufacturer of wire mesh decking and heavy-duty storage system accessories.

Aga Baran appointed to the Boad of Directors of Bestar.
Aga Baran has more than 15 years of experience in digital strategies, marketing, e-commerce and information technology.
Founded in 1948, Bestar is a leader in Québec’s furniture industry for ready-to-assemble (RTA) furniture made in Québec using state-of-the-art robotic processes. Following the recent acquisition of Bush Industries, a leading U.S. manufacturer of RTA furniture for offices and homes, the newly formed Bestar-Bush group is well placed to take advantage of growing online furniture sales. With manufacturing facilities in Lac Mégantic, Sherbrooke, in Jamestown, New York, and warehouses in California and China, Bestar-Bush’s head office will be located in Sherbrooke, Québec.
The Bestar-Bush group will have a workforce of nearly 600.
