Yves Lévesque became an investment manager with Desjardins Capital in 2017. As such, he handles unsecured loan and equity investments.

Yves works with entrepreneurs and various partners to find financing solutions for businesses pursuing growth or a transfer or acquisition. He understands the realities facing businesses in Gaspésie, the Bas-Saint-Laurent and the Magdalen Islands. He has worked in financing for 10 years, including as a portfolio manager with Investissement Québec and as an account manager on external audit engagements for small businesses and public companies with business accounting firm Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton.

Qualifications

Yves studied accounting at Université du Québec à Rimouski and has been a member of Quebec’s order of certified professional accountants, Ordre des Comptables professionnels agréés du Québec, since 2006. He has also served on the boards of community organizations and sports groups over the years.

What inspires me the most is seeing determined entrepreneurs who aren’t afraid to put it all on the line, either to start their own business or to navigate a difficult period. Their fearlessness and their ability to handle whatever comes their way and surround themselves with the right people are what make their businesses stronger moving forward.
