Marco Gaignard

After joining the Desjardins team in 1997 as Assistant Manager, Business Services with Caisse Desjardins de Rouyn-Noranda, Marco then served as Senior Manager, Desjardins Business—Est de l’Abitibi, and became part of the Desjardins Capital in 2005. Marco has been working in finance for over 25 years and helped set up Desjardins Business—Est de l’Abitibi.

Marco has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue.

What great business story inspires you?

I'm inspired by the story of a community taking over a plant which made a considerable contribution to the regional economy but was shut down. Seeing dedicated people fully committed to give the business a new lease of life and create rewarding jobs... that's very inspiring.
