What would an entrepreneur say about you?
An entrepreneur would say I’m committed. That I never do things halfway. Once I get involved in a project, I always give 100%. They would point out my competitive nature. Just like on the ice, I can’t stand defeat or failure.
What great business story inspires you?
Bétons préfabriqués du Lac is one company that inspires me. They’re a family business but they managed to win a contract to construct part of the new Yankee Stadium in New York. To do that—to be brought on to help build the new temple to baseball—they had to earn the Americans’ trust. Firmly rooted in our region, BPDL now has plants across Quebec and even a facility in Brazil. Right now they’re working on construction of the new Champlain Bridge and REM train. Their employees and managers are enthusiastic and committed.
